Wine from Apulia
Bread, olives and wine are just the typical Mediterranean lifestyle,
while for many thousands of years in Italy, wine is grown.
Greeks built it in their colonies in southern Italy, and later
it was the Romans, which export the Italian wine. Today,
on approximately
9000 square kilometers 2000 types of grape be
cultivated in
different regions, thus constitute Italy
to one of the most important European wine producer. There are 200 wines of controlled origin, such as Chianti and Soave.
The Apulia Region has the most types of grapes in southern Italy, with the
largest number of red wines. Indeed, the plains and hills, which are
alternate and the warm, often hot climate of the Adriatic, with only
low rainfall, is better suited for red wines than for whites.
In Apulia is also the most produced wine and therefore
is
more appropriate, called the wine cellars of Italy. 120,000 hectares of
vines are used to produce red, rosé and white wines of different type and
quality. The culture and tradition-rich region
is also classified as Rosé expert.
With Sicily Puglia is the largest wine producing region of Italy.
