Ostuni lies in the province
Brindisi and rises approximately
250 meters about the coastal
plain which is farmed, first of
all, with olive-tree cultures.
Ostuni is one of
the most well-known towns in
Puglia also known as the "white city"
because of the whiteness of the
houses.
The oldest part of the town,
even monument and place of
historic past, has an unusual
atmosphere. The medieval
historical town is a labyrinth
of little streets, curves and
alleys which limits from the
impressive curtain wall. The cathedral of Ostuni, national monument since
1902, has an effect very much
imposingly and is considered as
unusual in its beauty.
Along the seventeen kilometres
of coast of the territory of
Ostuni, in a marvelous game of
colors, long beaches are untied
with dunes covered by
Mediterranean stain and to
alternate of sandy bays and
rocky coast.
